Creating/Deleting a Journey Field

When a new Journey has been created or when editing an existing Journey that's associated to a lead group you will be able to add new Journey fields.
The option for this will be displayed under the Journey fields selector in the Journey editor. Click on + New field.

You can then select the type of field that you'd like to add.

When the field is created it will automatically be added to the end of the Journey.

You can delete Journey fields by placing your mouse cursor over the field that you'd like to delete and then click on the delete icon.

If the field was used in a Journey an error message will show to let you know that the field has now been removed.

Add helper text to a field in a Journey

Helper text can be added to fields in Journeys. This shows the text beneath the field when viewing the Journey.

To do this click on the field and then select the pencil icon, or double click the field.

You can then enter the Field helper text

This text will then show beneath the field when viewing the Journey.

Make Journey fields read-only or required

Some fields in Journeys can be marked as required or read only.

A required field must have a valid value provided before the Journey can be submitted.

When a field is set to read only it will be visible in the Journey but the value can't be changed.

To check the options for the field in a Journey click on the field and then select the pencil icon. , or double click the field.

You will then see the check boxes for Read only and Required.

Only one option can be selected, choosing to make a field read only hides the required option and vice versa.

Required fields can be identified in Journeys by the red asterisk next to the field label.

A read only field will show a padlock symbol.

Note: If an additional field is set to required on the lead group level it will always be a required field when included in a Journey.
