Capturing Leads Using Zapier's Email Parser

If you cannot get your sender to send emails in the format that we require to Receive Leads by Email, then you may want to consider using a third party mail parser. This article has been created to provide guidance on setting up an email parser service using Zapier.
IMPORTANT: This article was put together to provide guidance for our customers and it includes all the knowledge and guidance that we can offer on setting up the Zapier email parser to capture leads. We do not provide support for external services and so we cannot provide any further guidance that what is included in this article for Zapier's services.

Step 1: Sign Up to Zapier
Sign Up to Zapier if you do not already have an account and once signed in, Click 'Make A Zap!' towards the top of the page.

Step 2: Choose a Trigger and Action
Choose the Trigger App, Email Parser by Zapier and set the Trigger to New Email. Choose the Action App, Webhooks by Zapier and set the Trigger to POST.

Step 3: Setting Up the Mail Parser
Go to https://parser.zapier.com/ to set up a new mail parser account. If you don't already have an account with Zapier Parser, set one up. Click on
You should then be given a mail box address to send a sample email to. Send a sample email to the mailbox address.

Step 4: Create Your Parsing Template
Once you have sent in an example email, you will be able to sel ect the relevant content fr om the email. Highlight the required data and give it a sensible name.
Once you have pressed save, you should see the content replaced with the name that you gave it as shown below.
Once you have done this for everything that you wish to extract press

Step 5: Go Back to Zapier and Select Your Mailbox
Step 2 on Zapier is to sel ect the mail parser account. Sel ect the account you just set up. Press continue for Zapiers Step 3. For Zapiers Step 4, Sel ect your newly created mailbox fr om the drop down list.


Step 8: Testing the Zap
Once you have mapped all the fields that you require, skip all the below options and Press Continue. You will now be able to test the Zap. Once you have tested the App, Click Turn Zap On.

Step 9: Se t up Auto Forwarding
You will want to set up Auto Forwarding with your mail service if the emails are to be sent to Zapier to be parsed automatically. You will need to seek help fr om your provider or search online for support if you do not know how to do this. The emails need to be forwarded to the Zapier mailbox address.
Alternatively, you could just have the emails sent directly to the Zapier mailbox.
Note: If you use a mail client such as Outlook, setting up mail forwarding from within the client will only forward the mail when the client is running (You will need to have it open and running). If you want the emails to be sent regardless or whether you are using your mail client or not, you will need to speak with the person that manages your mail service to set up mail forwarding at Server level.
